Swanee|ˈswɒnɪ| Also Swannee. [Var. of Suwannee, the name of a river in Georgia and Florida.] 1. Swanee whistle, a small woodwind instrument with a slide-plunger to vary the pitch, chiefly used as a toy. Also Swanee flute.
