suspirious, a.|səˈspɪrɪəs| [ad. L. suspīriōsus, 1. suspīrium deep breathing, sigh, shortness of breath, suspire n. Cf. F. suspirieux.] 1. Breathing with difficulty or painfully; chiefly Path. (see quot. 1896).
