suprasterol Biochem.|s(j)uːprəˈstɛrɒl| [ad. G. suprasterin (A. Windaus et al. 1930, in Ann. d. Chem. CCCCLXXIII. 20): see supra- + -sterol.] Either of two optically active polycyclic isomers (suprasterol I, suprasterol II) of C28H44O produced by prolonged irradiation of vitamin D.
