superwaif, n. Brit. |ˈs(j)uːpəweɪf|, U.S. |ˈsupərˌweɪf| [‹ super- prefix + waif n.1, after supermodel n. at super- prefix Additions.] A particularly thin, young, or childlike fashion model, of a type favoured by many designers during the mid 1990s. Also (by extension): any person regarded as being particularly thin or waif-like.
