ˈdonnered, -ard, ppl. a. Sc. Also donnart, -ert, -ort. [f. Sc. vb. donner to stupefy as with a blow or a loud noise: perh. a freq. of ME. donen to din: cf. also dunner.] Stunned, stupefied, stupid ‘in a state of gross stupor’ (Jam.).
