‖ supersedere Sc. Law.|ˌs(j)uːpəsɪˈdɪəriː| Also 8 -cedere. [L. (see supersede).] A judicial order granting a debtor protection against diligence of creditors (see diligence1 5); also, a private agreement amongst creditors to postpone action against a debtor for a certain time.
