ˈsuperhelix Biochem. Pl. -helices. [super- 5 c.] A helix formed from a helix; spec. a three-dimensional structure sometimes assumed by polypeptides, in which double protein or DNA helices are themselves coiled into a higher-order helix. Cf. supercoil n.
