super giant slalom, n. Skiing. Brit. |ˌs(j)uːpə ˌdʒʌɪənt ˈslɑːl(ə)m|, U.S. |ˈˌsupər ˌdʒaɪənt ˈslɑl(ə)m| [‹ super- prefix + giant slalom n., probably after supergiant adj. 2.] An Alpine skiing discipline intermediate between giant slalom and downhill, run on a course which is longer, faster, and has gates further apart than a giant slalom course; a competition on such a course. Also: a similar discipline in snowboarding. Abbreviated super-G.
