ˌsupereˈssential, a. [ad. late L. superessentiālis (cf. Gr. ὑπερούσιος), f. super- super- 4 a + essentia essence: see -al1. Cf. obs. F. superessentiel.] That is above essence or being; transcending all that exists; = supersubstantial 2.
