strongylosis Vet. Sci. and Med.|strɒndʒɪˈləʊsɪs| [f. mod.L. Strongyl-us (see strongyle1) + -osis.] Infection with or a disease caused by nematode worms (strongyles) of the genus Strongylus or the family Strongylidae containing it, which are parasites of many domestic animals.
