1. In a dexterous manner, with dexterity; adroitly, cleverly.
a. With manual dexterity.
1646Sir T. Browne Pseud. Ep. iv. v. 191 Many women, and some men, who though they accustome themselves unto either hand, do dexterously make use of neither. 1659B. Harris Parival's Iron Age 139 And so neately, and dexterously retorted the ball. 1685Boyle Effects of Mot. ix. 109 A glass being dextrously inverted and shaken. 1766Goldsm. Vic.
