Dettol|ˈdɛtɒl, -əl| Also dettol. [Invented name.] A proprietary name for germicidal liquids and lotions based on chloroxylenol and used esp. as disinfectants for the skin and surgical instruments; spec. a brown liquid household disinfectant.
